The Bathurst Visitor Information Centre (BVIC) is a part of Bathurst Regional Council and operates 363 days a year (closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day). BVIC provides information servicing to over 50,000 visitors annually with 53,158 last financial year. In addition, BVIC operates as the Destination Management Organisation (DMO) for the Bathurst region and coordinates advertising, the consumer website bathurstregion.com.au, social media channels, marketing and public relations activities to raise consumer awareness and promote the region as a destination of choice. The DMO is commonly referred to as Bathurst Region Tourism.
